Job Description

Carry out patrolling of the exterior and interior of the hotel premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, damage, fire, smoke, gas leaks, and all other potential hazards that may cause risk to life and limb of anyone, within the hotel. and ensure the hotel premises is safe and secure at all times. As key members of the Hotel Emergency Response Team (ERT) respond immediately to fire alarms, area / door / shop lot alarms and investigate and identify what has activated the alarms, call for back up from colleagues, Duty Manager as required. To perform their respective assigned tasks in event of any emergency as detailed by the Security Manager / Duty Manager. Security Guards must be impartial in the discharge of their duties, disregarding, friendship, political and sectarian (religious) prejudices and influences with everyone you come into contact with during your work To make periodic security patrol checks (as determined by Security Manager / Hotel Management) using the watchman key system, observe, record and report any suspicious activities, signs of damage or hazards. Adhere to and enforce company rules (Staff handbook), SOPs and any other Memos as issued by General Manager / Human Resources Department. Write reports of daily activities and events, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences. Prevents crime, losses and damage by reporting irregularities; politely and assertively informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers Answering telephone calls to take messages, answer and assist guests and provide information if required. Give a verbal warning to those who violate the Company Rules and Regulations, arrest or evict violators from premises, using minimum force when necessary.
