Job Description

• To assign security guards to their daily patrolling duties on the hotel complex and its premises, by scheduling these duties on the daily detachment duty form

• To ensure to the discipline, code of conduct and general welfare of the security guards and to report and record any actions of indiscipline to the Head of Security

• To provide whatever physical support, where necessary to ensure the security, safety and harmony of the hotel, it guests visitors, vendors, contractors and connectors

• To product conduct and monitor all movement of staff and its premises, in particular on guest floors, back of the house area and the staff entry/exit route
• Alert and responsible
• To monitor and report all fire safety equipment and fire stairwells, for any defects and or faults to the Head of Security
• Be alert and due care
• To conduct and / or detail Security Guards to conduct regular but random, inspections of all employee bags, locker and vehicles on the direction of the Head of Security and/or Operations Manager/the General Manager and only whilst on the Hotel premises
• Strict compliance
• When necessary, to carry out a preliminary inquiry of any incident or occurrence that is associated with security, safety and the welfare of the Hotel, it guests, visitors, vendors and staff and to submit such report on the inquiry to the Head of Security upon his arrival
• Responsible and concise
• To record and report all acts of willful neglect of duty by any staff, improper behavior inebriated or drug affected staff, hazardous or dangerous work, unhealthy or unhygienic operations, or any matter which is necessary to report in the interest and / or efficient operation of the Hotel.
• Responsible and strict compliance
• To regularly monitor all operational and guest room \xe2\x80\x98Key Control\xe2\x80\x99 procedures and regularly inspect the \xe2\x80\x98Key Issue\xe2\x80\x99 sheet/book and to record and report discrepancies with regards to the same
• Be responsible and alert
• To frequently monitor the activities of the security guards at the designated areas of responsibility and ensure that they are performing the standard expectations of the Hotel and department and to report and acts contrary to the instructions lay down, I.e. sleeping on duty, absent from duty/station, etc.
• Strict compliance and be discipline

• Ex-police or Army forces with rank of Major / Chief or Senior Inspector / ASP is an added advantage
• Minimum SPM and/or Certificate / Diploma / Degree in Security & Safety Management
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in a 4 or 5 star hotel
• Have strong communication skills
• Ability to interact in a professional and courteous manner with a broad cross-section of guests
• Ability to maintain guest confidentiality and security

• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written & spoken)
• Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PMS System
• Have the ability to prioritize workload assignments
