Munich Re Retakaful, part of Munich Re, the world\'s largest reinsurer, is looking for a Senior Actuarial Pricing Analyst who can help us continue forging ahead in the global Family Retakaful market.You should be interested in technical actuarial work, enjoy working across multiple markets and being part of a diverse team. You should also be able to communicate well with both actuaries and non-actuaries, have commercial acumen, and be able to work closely with Client Managers and actuaries within Munich Re and with clients.You will report to the Chief Commercial Officer, Munich Re Retakaful and will be based in Kuala Lumpur.Your RoleWork with the Chief Commercial Officer, Senior Pricing Actuaries, and Client Managers on client quotations, focusing on timely delivery of quotes and pricing reports to achieve a profitable outcome for Munich Re. You will also work with Senior Actuaries from other regions such as Munich Re Singapore, exchanging thought processes and best practices, and getting cross-functional feedback.Work with relevant stakeholders such as Underwriting and Claims, Pricing and Client Managers whilst working on quotations, ensuring risk analysis is covered from multiple angles.Ensure the quotations comply with internal guidelines, requirements, and applicable government/regulatory guidelines and requirements. You will also work with the regional pricing team in getting necessary approvals for quotes.Be familiar with internal Munich Re guidelines and risk appetite, and ensure quotes fall within the parameters of these documents.Work on research projects such as derivation of incidence rates for multiple risks - Mortality, Critical Illness, Disability, and others.Perform experience studies including collating data internally and from clients, performing and presenting analysis, and documenting results.Use the results and analysis to update existing or initiate new pricing bases for the key risks in several Family Retakaful markets. You will set the tone for future pricing for a particular risk, which has a direct consequence on the company\'s profitability and competitiveness.Work on ad-hoc projects (e.g. statement of accounts, model conversions, client database maintenance etc).Your Profile3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.Excellent technical and analytical skills, a logical and concise approach, and attention to detail.Strong MS Excel skills (can perform complex functions).Knowledge of VBA would be advantageous.A pragmatic approach to business pressure and agility are essential.Self-motivated and able to work within a team environment, with a focus on outcome.An understanding of the products and insurance environment in at least one Takaful market is essential.Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.Our Benefits:Flexible and hybrid working arrangementsGenerous annual leave allowanceCompetitive life and health insurance coverageAt Munich Re, we embrace, and value, the interaction of diverse backgrounds, experiences, perspectives and thought.
