Global Internal Audit provides independent, objective assurance to management and the risk and audit committees as to whether the framework of risk management, control, and governance processes, as designed and represented by management, is adequate and functioning. We are currently seeking a senior high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Audit Operations Manager, Asia Pacific In this role, you will: Lead planning, reporting, Continuous Monitoring, Risk Assessment and the production of relevant MI across the region. Focus on improving the quality of these processes, thematically bringing together results from assurance work conducted across the region and challenging the outcomes. Perform analytical review in Audit MI and call out risk themes for governance reporting and prepare presentation materials for senior stakeholders within the Bank and/or third parties (such as regulators) Actively advocate alignment of MI and Reporting across the region with Group standards and with the global COO team. Refine and enrich operational processes by ensuring adequate checking and validation of deliverables, identification of associated problems to key stakeholders and implement solutions to avoid the occurrence of similar problems Support the COO office on other operational tasks such as resource planning, recruitment performance management process, headcount reporting and budget control across Asia Pacific Review and enhance the risk control and operating system regularly in collaboration with other teams and country offices Ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of our businesses. Establish and implement a consistent and effective approach to the transformation of the operational function and execution of daily activities Identify and implement best practices to enable the highest operational standards Co-ordinate with COO requirements to meet regional and global processes and deadlines Lead an effort across the region to help transforming operations and aim to improve operational effectiveness through the automation of transactional operational tasks Requirements To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: Proven track record of innovative solution delivery to help improve and transform an operations function. Potential deputies to regional COOs within the construct of a financial services organisation and/or an audit function would be preferable. Senior contributor with Operations/ Business Management experience in a COO or similar function Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with senior management, internal and external stakeholders and help implement change initiatives in the function Ability to innovate, demonstrated by past experience within a financial institution or consultancy, for example A mindset that naturally emphas execution and delivery Hands on execution and leadership re architecture, design, optimal configuration, systems, infrastructure, access, tooling, testing and implementation as these constructs pertain in the cross Lines of Defense context Prima facie credibility and the ability to interact with and represent the operations team in its collaboration with the global businesses and global functions Credentials re partnering effectively internally and externally to provide solutions. Commercial discipline, with an ability to deliver real dollar value. Good knowledge and experience of risk management and strong risk culture not limited to a banking environment, though banking would be preferable Track record of managing complex transformation programs regionally, on time, and within budget across multiple diverse businesses. Ability to understand complex issues, manage conflict and provide pragmatic solutions. Ability to manage complex business and stakeholder relationships in a diverse business and cultural setting. High standards of professional and personal integrity. Good written and verbal articulation skills in English Willingness to travel regionally and globally .
