Position Title : Senior Business Analyst Work location : Penang - George Town Working hours : Mon - Fri, 8.00am - 5.00pm Salary : RM 8,000 to RM 12,000 Type of employment : Permanent Languages : Chinese, Malay, English About the Position (Technical Business Analyst) As a Centific Technical Business Analyst (BA) you are going to act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams within the organization. Technical BAs play a critical role in understanding business needs, analyzing requirements, and translating them into actionable technical specifications that guide software development, system implementation, and other technical projects. They ensure that technology solutions align with business goals and effectively meet user needs. Your Responsibilities a) Requirement Elicitation and Analysis: o Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements and user needs. o Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications, considering feasibility, scalability, and technical constraints. b) Documentation: o Create clear and comprehensive documentation, including business requirement documents, user stories, use cases, and functional specifications. o Define acceptance criteria and success metrics to guide development and testing efforts. c) Solution Design and Validation: o Work closely with technical teams (developers, designers, architects) to ensure that the proposed solution aligns with business goals and requirements. o Validate technical designs against business requirements to ensure accuracy and completeness. d) Stakeholder Communication: o Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, end users, and technical teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and expectations. o Act as a liaison between different departments to resolve conflicts and clarify ambiguities. e) Data Analysis: o Analyse data and business processes to identify opportunities for improvement, automation, or optimisation. o Collaborate with data teams to define data requirements and ensure accurate data flows within systems. f) Testing and Quality Assurance: o Define and execute testing plans, including functional, user acceptance, and regression testing, to ensure the delivered solution meets requirements. o Identify defects and work with development teams to resolve issues. g) Change Management: o Support change management efforts by providing documentation, training, and assistance during software implementations and system upgrades. h) Continuous Improvement: o Recommend process improvements and innovative solutions based on a deep understanding of business needs and technology capabilities. i) Project Management Support: o Assist project managers in project planning, scheduling, and tracking to ensure timely and successful project delivery. Required Technical and Professional Expertise A minimum of 5 years of experience as a full-stack developer preferably in the service industry. Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to understand complex business processes and technical concepts. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey requirements and collaborate with diverse teams. Experience with requirement-gathering techniques, such as interviews, workshops, and surveys. Familiarity with software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum. Proficiency in creating diagrams, flowcharts, and wireframes using tools like Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or similar. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Strong attention to detail and an organized approach to managing and documenting requirements. Previous experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or a related role is preferred. Relevant certifications, such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), may be advantageous. Good at Chinese communication is a plus to support the global team.
