\xc2\xb7 DBS Transformation Services is part of the Deputy Chief Operating Office (DCOO), supporting the DBS transformation agenda by accelerating and delivering effective change globally, with capabilities across consulting, programme/project management, business analysis and portfolio management

\xc2\xb7 The Global DBS & ASP Transformation Services Senior Business Manager role will directly support the Global Head of DBS & ASP Transformation Services, and is responsible for:

o Providing business management support including headcount and financial management and setting monthly cadence for planning, forecasts and reporting

o Providing operational management support for the execution of the DBS Transformation Services strategy, including governance and people & engagement

o Leveraging the wider DCOO Chief of Staff community to support the execution of their responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 The role\xe2\x80\x99s remit covers both global oversight and the Asia Pacific (ASP) HUB

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:

Performance:

\xc2\xb7 Work in close collaboration with DCOO and DBS Transformation Services stakeholders to support the execution of the DBS Transformation Services strategy

\xc2\xb7 Work with key stakeholders including the DCOO Chief of Staff team to manage and control financial and headcount plans

\xc2\xb7 Maintain the DBS Transformation Services workforce strategy, including location, hiring and organisational design

\xc2\xb7 Support the implementation of DBS Transformation Services\xe2\x80\x99 people and engagement plan, communications and skills matrix, in conjunction with DCOO and HR

Transformation:

\xc2\xb7 Support project work and initiatives across the wider DBS Transformation Services agenda, both globally and in Asia Pacific

\xc2\xb7 Build transformation business cases including programme oversight of centrally-driven initiatives

\xc2\xb7 Provide strategic partnership with the DBS Transformation Services senior leadership team to drive performance and cultural change required of a high performing and agile organisation

Governance:

\xc2\xb7 Partner with the DCOO Chief of Staff team to ensure the Global Head of DBS & ASP Transformation Services is fully prepared and briefed for key governance meetings and committees including senior executive and board forums, supplier meetings, as well as regulator engagements. This includes providing strategic insight and support for any papers, briefing notes and follow up on key actions.

\xc2\xb7 Liaise with stakeholders across DBS Transformation Services to proactively identify and resolve challenges to the delivery of objectives

\xc2\xb7 Ensuring all regulatory and legal commitments are met and provide proactive issue management

Stakeholders:

\xc2\xb7 Engage with stakeholders across DCOO to support delivery of DBS Transformation Services\xe2\x80\x99 strategic goals

\xc2\xb7 Serve as an integral interlink between the DCOO Chief of Staff team and DBS Transformation Services\xe2\x80\x99 HUBs

\xc2\xb7 Provide analysis and support to external parties (e.g. regulators, suppliers) as needed \xe2\x80\x93 either in response to queries/audits or proactively through stakeholder management

Leadership & Teamwork:

\xc2\xb7 Lead by example, demonstrate core behaviours and values including professionalism, teamwork, focus, drive and determination

\xc2\xb7 Ensure effective and open communication across DBS Transformation Services and broader DCOO communities, delivering standards, collaboration and effective people interaction

\xc2\xb7 Leverage services provided by DCOO Chief of Staff to effectively deliver responsibilities

Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

Knowledge & Experience

\xc2\xb7 Educated to graduate degree level in business management related field or associated relevant business experience

\xc2\xb7 Proven ability to build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders and able to effectively manage the demanding requirements of the role amidst a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

\xc2\xb7 Excellent verbal and written communications skills required, with an ability to present complex issues confidently and concisely to executives and non-executives using simple language to accommodate globally distributed stakeholders

\xc2\xb7 Ability to engage with team, colleagues and business partners collaboratively to deliver at pace

\xc2\xb7 Outstanding relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills

\xc2\xb7 Planning experience within a COO/CAO function preferred

\xc2\xb7 Strong financial/analytical background and proven ability in financial/analytical reasoning, including being able to contextualise financial data into business activities and conclusions

\xc2\xb7 Understanding of the HSBC Group and its strategy, structures and processes

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Digital Business Services / Transformation Services \xe2\x80\x93 functionally, operationally and financially

What additional skills will be good to have?

  • Degree in related field or commensurate practical experience
  • Industry certifications i.e. PMP, CBAP, MSP, Change Management. Optional; ACP, Master Black Belt \xe2\x80\x93 Six Sigma, TOGAF.
