Expro Group are currently recruiting for a Senior Buyer, on a permanent basis, to join the Supply Chain department team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Overall Purpose of the Job: To procure goods and services required by Expro to the required specification, quality level, at a competitive price and delivered in a
timely manner.
Key Activities and Accountabilities: 1. Receive generic specifications and source competitive bids from qualified suppliers that meet the specification, quality,
budgetary and schedule requirements.
2. Create Procurement Plans and support project/product line execution. Focal point of contact for the project, commodity or
product line.
3. Negotiate and place Purchase Orders, ensuring schedule reporting and delivery promises are maintained by v suppliers with
information communicated to the project/product team and other stakeholders. Working with Team on leading higher level
Negotiation, Placing of Purchase Orders for the project, commodity or product line.
4. In conjunction with QA and QC processing supplier non-conformances, utilising (Epitrak) to ensure that the correct actions
are taken to close them out in a timely manner.
5. Ensure suppliers meet required HSEQ standards and that product delivered is to specification, on time and with no injuries
6. Expedite orders in accordance with Purchase Order requirements. Work with team to communicate and improve delivery
where-ever possible and updating SAP accordingly.
7. Work with key suppliers to ensure clear scope definition and cost reduction programs aligned with SCM initiatives.
8. Assist the Accounts department with Supplier invoice enquires requiring clarification/ approval; update SAP accordingly with
applicable information and return approved invoice(s) to the Accounts department.
9. Manage changes to specifications and advice suppliers accordingly.
10. Assist Procurement Manager with supplier business review meetings and assist with supplier assessment in conjunction with
the Supplier Approval Process.
11. Actively support team interface with the business units to ensure capacity demand and forecast requirements are achieved.
12. Assist in other purchasing/ departmental duties/ activities as detailed by the Procurement Manager.
13. Liaise with internal and external department.
Job Knowledge and Qualifications:

• 7 years experience within a buying/materials environment

• Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Powerpoint and Word) and MRP/ERP systems (SAP preferred)

• Previous experience of supplier evaluation, purchase order drafting, negotiation

Overall Purpose of the Job

This person is recognized to assist in leading the Procurement team; who procures Capex or Opex goods and services as assigned and as required by Expro. To follow the GSC policies and ensure that goods or services are purchased to the required specification, quality level, at a competitive price and delivered in a timely manner. The role has a change and process development element to instill best practise and continuous improvement through both execution and peer support. The scope of the role is global / cross regional with responsibility for both product line and operations level support.

Key Activities and Accountabilities

1. Day-to-day support of activities across the Opex/Capex procurement team, leading processes including staff support. 2. Ensure that the procurement processes and procedures are aligned with the Global Supply Chain strategy. 3. Execute assigned buying portfolio from quotation to delivery and invoice payment. 4. Ensure compliance with the supplier management strategy on assigned portfolio and through execution, demonstrate good supplier management practice. 5. Ensure suppliers meet required HSEQ standards and that product and services delivered are to specification, on time. 6. Responsible for continually working with suppliers to deliver cost reduction programs aligned with SCM goals. 7. Drive self and inspire others with the department to achieve KPI\xe2\x80\x99s as defined by management, including but not limited to on time delivery, savings, and internal lead times. 8. Represent the procurement function internally professionally and to assume a leading role in meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholders. 9. Support, guide and mentor less experienced colleagues. 10. Assist in other purchasing/ departmental duties/ activities as detailed by the Procurement Management.

Job Knowledge and Qualifications

1. Proven experience in best practice SCM, team leadership and business process development. 2. Minimum of 3 years experience in a senior or similar role with supervisor responsibility for a procurement team 3. Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Powerpoint and Word) and SAP systems (preferred) 4. Degree in Supply Chain Management and/or professional qualification (MCIPS, SCMP, CPM) or related subjects preferred 5.
