We are currently seeking a Senior Buyer, to join our team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. About the Job Performs tasks involved in the formation and administration of purchase orders. Prepares bidder pre-qualification, bidder lists, bid solicitation, bid analysis for the formation of purchase orders. Main Accountabilities Responsible and accountable for project quality, cost and schedule. Prepares the project Procurement procedures in conjunction with Project requirement and Corporate functional management; contributes to the project procedures. Responsible in vendors sourcing, issuance of inquiries, bid evaluation and selection of vendors. Negotiation with vendors to obtain best price and delivery without compromising quality. Resolve procurement and contractual issues with vendors strategically. Management in subsequent change orders with vendors. Lead and coordinate with expediting inspection and logistics in achieving procurement goals. Building collaborative working relationship with others. Development of Procurement Strategies and Execution Plan in proposals/tendering. Issues project Procurement status reports to project. Coordinates Procurement execution plan with Engineering and Construction plans and operations to ensure that input from these disciplines will enable Procurement to perform its functions in accordance with project plans. About You Minimum 5 years procurement experience and preferably in Oil and Gas Industries. Bachelor or Master Degree in any disciplines. Good financial awareness and project management skill. Excellent command of English, both verbal and written. Experience and knowledge in Contract Management. Basic knowledge of international suppliers. Must be able to prepare and organize assigned Procurement sponsored meetings, such as bid clarification and post-award meetings, for the purpose of ensuring complete understanding and agreement of all contractual matters with Suppliers. Knowledge of the legal and commercial aspects of procurement.
