We are currently seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to join our team in our Kuala Lumpur office. The primary objective of this role is to ensure compliance with internal governance of Honeywell through negotiation of proper contract terms with our customers and distributors within the APAC region (excluding China and India) and to lead a team of four contract specialists based in Korea, Japan, Australia and India. Key Areas of Responsibility \xe2\x80\xa2 Draft, review and comment on customer sales contracts, distributor agreements, sales intermediary agreements and other commercial contracts \xe2\x80\xa2 Advise on Honeywell contracting policies and processes \xe2\x80\xa2 Negotiate contract terms and conditions with customers and counterparties \xe2\x80\xa2 Analyse and assess contractual risks \xe2\x80\xa2 Approve or seek approval on deviations to Honeywell contracting policies \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure project scope changes or contract amendments are quoted, negotiated, billed, and collected in a timely manner \xe2\x80\xa2 Work closely with Legal department to resolve or support resolution of complex legal issues by helping define the objectives, strategies and tactics in an intelligent way with the right people engaged \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide Contracts Management and other legal and compliance trainings \xe2\x80\xa2 Advise and provide Management with up-to-date information on the local business and legal requirements for contracting with customers and for formulating contracting policies \xe2\x80\xa2 Organize and/or drive processes in relation to the area of Contracts Management \xe2\x80\xa2 Support and/or lead dispute resolutions and past due collections in the APAC region \xe2\x80\xa2 Act as the bridge and point of contact between all supporting functions and business in resolving contractual issues \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintain up to date contract database and report key metrics and/or pending issues YOU MUST HAVE Education / Qualifications \xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelor of Law (LLB) \xe2\x80\xa2 Admitted to practice Experience \xe2\x80\xa2 8-12 years\xe2\x80\x99 relevant working experience in Contracts Management with a reputable law firm and/or corporation as an in-house legal counsel \xe2\x80\xa2 Experienced in handling complex contracts: Preference given to experience in contract review and negotiation with EPC companies involved in industrial construction business on a lump sum turnkey basis OR equipment manufacturer/supplier for oil & gas, (petro) chemical, power, water treatment plant or similar industry and technology and software licensing \xe2\x80\xa2 Has a track record as a manager, which is a plus not a must Professional Skills / Knowledge \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to negotiate and draft contracts \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong multinational knowledge of contracting principles / laws in APAC region \xe2\x80\xa2 Good business / financial acumen \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work successfully in different cultures and countries WE VALUE \xe2\x80\xa2 Behave ethically and professionally \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong interpersonal and communication skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Leadership & Result Oriented \xe2\x80\xa2 Fastidious attention to details
