Role Description

Seeking an experienced Senior DBA to join the Infra Operations & Cyber Security team, supporting database administration across multiple platforms and ensuring performance, availability, and security.

Responsibilities

Administer Microsoft SQL, Oracle, and MySQL databases on Windows and Linux Monitor database health and troubleshoot issues Install, configure, and set up databases for application requirements Perform upgrades, migrations, and environment refreshes Optimize performance and storage utilization Harden cloud databases including Azure SQL Manage data replication and disaster recovery procedures Apply patches, maintain database security, and automate tasks Support deployments and provide technical assistance for changes Participate in audits and adhere to security standards Coordinate with vendors to resolve issues Ensure continuity and availability of database services Handle incident, problem, and change management activities

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in IT or related field with 5+ years of experience Hands-on experience with MS SQL, MySQL, and Oracle Knowledge of Azure services (IAAS, PAAS, SAAS, AAD) Experience with database installation and configuration on Linux/Windows/Azure High-availability setup experience (Oracle Dataguard, SQL Server Failover, MySQL Cluster) Strong performance tuning and troubleshooting skills Exposure to data partitioning, data warehousing, and encryption standards Disaster recovery implementation experience Experience with scripting (Linux/Windows) and PL/SQL programming Familiarity with monitoring tools

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM7,500.00 per month
