The SAP Senior BW developer will provide support to the global SAP team as part of SAP Business Analysts and Developers in our Penang, Malaysia facility. You will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of SAP BW solutions and analyzing complex business data providing valuable insights to drive strategic decision-making within the organization.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT teams, and data engineers, to ensure the successful delivery of business intelligence solutions. Your expertise in SAP Senior BW development will be instrumental in delivering high-quality data warehousing solutions to support business intelligence and reporting needs.

In this role you will:

• Provide global support to business and other team members of the systems functional areas.
• Maintenance and enhancement of existing BW solutions.
• Take responsibility for support tickets from creation through to resolution.
• Monitor process chains and resolve data errors.
• Communicate and collaborate regularly with the US team members on initiatives.
• Collaborate with business analysts and data architects to design SAP BW solutions that meet the organization\'s data warehousing and reporting requirements.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop, configure, and implement SAP BW objects, including data sources, Info Objects, Info Cubes, DSOs, transformations, and DTPs, ABAP code and use SAP BW tools to create and modify data models, extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes, and create reports.
• Integrate SAP BW with SAP and other major external data sources. Develop and maintain data extraction routines, data transfer processes, and data loading processes to ensure accurate and timely data integration.
• Identify and resolve performance issues in SAP BW data models and ETL processes. Optimize queries and data retrieval to improve system performance and ensure efficient data access.
• Testing and Debugging: Conduct unit testing and integration testing of SAP BW solutions to ensure they meet functional and technical requirements. Debug and troubleshoot issues related to data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
• Define and enforce data governance standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Maintenance and Support: Perform ongoing maintenance, monitoring, and support of SAP BW systems. Identify and resolve production issues, perform system enhancements, and implement system upgrades and patches.

• Bachelor\'s degree or above in Supply Chain/related discipline or Information Systems
• Fluency in English and good communication skills
• Good knowledge of SAP BW on HANA 7.5 development
• Strong experience working with SAP Business Intelligence tools, such as SAP BW, and BusinessObjects
• Proficiency in SAP data modeling and design concepts, including the development of data models, cubes, and hierarchies.
• Excellent understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.
• Knowledge of SAP ERP systems and familiarity with SAP modules (e.g., SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA) is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Experience with data governance and security practices is a plus.
