A fast-growing supplier of innovative manufacturing systems is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer. In this job, you will design electrical and electronics control systems for automation control and machinery.

About the Senior Electrical Engineer Role:
In this Electrical Design Engineer position, you will be using your knowledge in electrical design to design systems that will make an impact in the agricultural industry. In this position, you will be collaborating with other stakeholders to resolve complex design problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design safety and AC/DC power distribution systems that are compliant with safety regulations, machine directive and standards such as CE, UL and other similar standards
• Design electrical and electronics control systems for machinery and automation control
• Collaborate with other stakeholders such as field engineers to solve complex design problems
• Create electrical BOM (Bill of Material) and manage changes and revision
• Prepare electrical spare part list for projects
• Keep up to date with the latest developments and technical innovations in electrical engineering and agriculture industry
• Help and advice to procurement and commissioning team when necessary

To succeed in the Senior Electrical Engineer role, you will need to have a solid knowledge and background in designing electrical control systems for machinery and automation control using AutoCAD Electrical, ECSCAD, or preferably EPLAN.

Key Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field of study
• At least five years of experience as an Electrical Engineer, Electrical Design Engineer, or other similar positions
• Industrial experience with power electronics, low voltage drive and electrical machinery
• Experience using EPLAN to produce electrical schematics and board layout design
• Experience with working knowledge of electrical panel design compliance to UL, CE standard
• High accountability and ownership to drive closure of action items
• Able to lead changes, a self-starter and able to inspire others
• Highly organised, process driven and analytical in problem solving
• A positive approach, self-motivated, a team player with a high level of integrity
