About this role
The focus of this role is to provide consulting engineering services to clients of Buildings Malaysia. Collaboratively support the development of less experience engineers within the group.

What will I do?

• Develop concept and detailed design, participation in the review, supervision, development of technical skills within the team and provide technical input on a broad range of projects.
• Provide detailed design work across a broad range of projects within MEP engineering and related areas but with a particular focus on health and education sector projects and lead the technical / design input on such projects, ensuring work quality is maintained at the expected standard.
• Extend relationships with existing key clients to enable an expansion of business opportunities for the MEP team, and (where appropriate) other business groups within the region. Prepare and deliver detailed tender submissions and presentations.
• Prepare project reports for clients summarizing key issues and strategically advising on best outcomes and assist in the ongoing development and maintenance of quality systems within the Malaysia office.
• Provide input into the ongoing skill development within the MEP team through such activities as the mentoring of less-experienced staff members; researching/developing innovative technical/design applications and/or procedures; and play a key support role to senior staff members in all formal and informal training-related activities.

What will I bring?

• Recognized relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering;
• Proven relevant industry experience in Electrical Engineering of health, education and similar projects, within a consulting business environment including the ability to advise clients on cost-effective, sustainable solutions.
• A recognized tertiary qualification in Engineering or associated discipline, with Malaysia Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
• Ability to independently undertake project and technical analyses, and report on results.
• Experience in managing key smaller and medium sized projects, including the supervision of multi-disciplinary project teams where appropriate.
