The work we do here matters.Department Overview Avigilon Hardware Engineering is chartered to design License Plate Recognition Cameras.

• Perform design and development activities of highly sophisticated surveillance cameras for professional and mission critical markets in the commercial, government and industrial segments.
• Utilize Modeling & Simulation Software to create and evaluate designs, including Digital Signal Integrity simulation in Altium and schematic capture, prior to releasing the PCB layout Gerber for fabrication.
• Provides mentorship and coaching to junior Electrical Engineers.
• Reviews PCB designs, schematics and layouts to ensure standards of quality and accuracy are met. Guides troubleshooting of prototype electronic circuit boards
• Conceives proof of concepts for purposes of testing circuit designs as needed, using workbench tools and test equipment.
• Reviews testing and mitigation of compliance issues.
• Knowledge and experience in GPS, WIFI, BT, LTE designs is an added advantage.

Basic Requirements

• At least a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
• At least 7 years or more of relevant product design experience
• Familiarity with schematic capture and circuit simulation
• Strong understanding of SoC/DSP design incorporating DDR, flash, high speed sensor and Ethernet interfaces
• Strong knowledge in power supply design
• Extensive knowledge of EMC and safety standards and design requirements to ensure that the products meet these standards
• Ability to critically assess and optimize the cost and performance of designs
• Hands-on testing and troubleshooting experience
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Self-motivated, with the ability to learn quickly and independently.
• Candidate must be willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
