POSITION : Senior Engineer, Civil
REPORTING TO : Engineering Manager
DIVISION/DEPARTMENT : PLX - Lang Lebah
LOCATION : KL Office ***Open for Expatriates 1. KEY OBJECTIVES
Supervise technical matters relating to Civil/Structural engineering works during FEED and/or EPCC of Onshore Gas Plant #2 which support the gas production from Lang Lebah field, and ensure that the works are completed in compliance with the contract requirements and the reference specifications, design codes, and standards. The primary role of the job is to lead Civil/Structural engineering in design/construction/transportation/installation aspects for Onshore gas plant. Performs various activities including basic engineering or Front End Engineering Design (FEED), procurement package and strategy, fabrication, installation, and commissioning, to support the construction of the major gas development. 2. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Civil is advantage but not necessary
• Professional certificate by accredited Bodies/ Associations is an advantage but not necessary Desired Competency (Skills and Abilities)
• Must have a good understanding of process and facilities design and production operations including a broad range of expertise on conceptual, basic design development, detail design development, construction/installation, commission/startup and production operations of Onshore gas plant/refinery/petrochemical plant
• Must have extensive knowledge of Civil, Steel Structural, Soil mechanic and Hydrology engineering
• Familiar and expertise with civil / structural analysis softwares including STAAD Pro , Dyna 6, GT STRUDL and MAT/Foundation 3D. Earth works and Hydrology software such that 12D, TUFLOW and AUTO DESK CIVL 3D is an advantage.
• Familiar with international codes and standards related to civil engineering commonly accepted in the oil and gas industry including to related local regulations for Onshore plant design and construction.
• Experienced in site preparation work on hilly area and have extensive knowledge of hydrology.
• Be able to perform dynamic foundation analysis and understanding in machine vibration requirement.
• Be able to perform civil/structural analysis and design of foundation, steel structure, connection and reinforced concrete building.
• Has knowledge in underground services drawing and drainage system.
• Be able to review and verify lifting calculation in accordance with API RP-2A.
• Must have a good understanding of facilities design and production operations including a broad range of expertise on conceptual, development and production operations of onshore construction especially onshore gas plant.
• Good verbal communication, coordination and organizing skills with ability to work with minimal supervision and liaise effectively and efficiently with other team members within / outside Department.
• Stakeholder Management skills - Proven ability to build strong working relationship with internal and external parties

Work Experiences

• Minimum of 15 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Onshore gas plant and/or Petrochemical and/or Refinery industry with proven track record in FEED, Detailed Engineering, Site construction and Projects management & execution.
• Minimum of 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in onshore construction field as filed civil engineer or higher related position.
• Experiences in FEED and/or EPC of Onshore gas plant and/or Petrochemical and/or Refinery in the similar scale with Onshore Gas Plant #2 is advantage.
• Experiences in FEED and/or EPCI of Offshore facilities are advantage.
• Experiences as Company Site Representative and/or field engineer during Site construction for major projects are preferable.

Additional Desirable Qualifications

• Experience in CFT development, Tendering execution, Basic engineering, Detailed engineering, Construction, Installation, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Startup projects of Onshore gas plant/refinery/petrochemical plant is advantage.
• Experiences in executed any project in Sarawak area is advantage.

3. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
The Senior Civil engineer shall be responsible for the Project Execution covering all Engineering Phases from CFT development, Tendering execution, Basic engineering, Detailed engineering, Construction, Installation, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up. The Senior Civil engineer shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the followings:

• Responsible for expediting all Civil/Structural engineering works including engineering reviews and approval of deliverables from contractors and vendors,
• Responsible to ensure that all Civil/engineering works are completed in accordance with the applicable contract(s), specifications, design codes and standards including COMPANY, PETRONAS, and Government requirements and regulations as well as the Project Quality and HSE plan during FEED and EPCC.
• Responsible to provide technical support in procurement of Civil/Structural equipment/materials when required.
• Responsible to provide justification to resolve relevant technical issues, technical queries, deviations, and discrepancies among relevant engineering deliverables.
• Responsible for coordination and communication with other disciplines, as a /civil focal point.
• Review Material Handling Facilities, Methodology and Requirements for Fabrication, Installations and Operation.
• Participate and contribute to technical review sessions e.g. HAZID, ALARP, PTR, etc. as a Civil/Structural focal point.
• Provide engineering supports during construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning phases where applicable.
• Develop Tender requirement in the responsible discipline and ensure all scope fully captured as Contract requirement for the subsequent stage. Including to be assisting Tendering team to conduct tendering process until award.
• Monitor and resolve all Civil/Structural engineering issues surfaced at job-sites expeditiously for smooth completion of fabrication and installation.
• Ensure correct engineering as-built mark-ups for its discipline and coordinate with design contractor to update into As-built design package and ensure smooth handover of both engineering design package and constructed facilities.

5. WORKING RELATIONSHIP

• Exploration Team and all Functional / Work Groups within or outside Department including on board short-term contract, technical staff and all visitors.
• Individual must be capable of working independently, efficient and competent in carrying out duties .

Internal: Relevant Depts in PLS
External: Petronas MPM, PCSB and Contractors as well as other external Authorities, if required. Job Type: Contract Salary: RM20,000.00 - RM31,000.00 per month Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
