Job Description


KEY OBJECTIVES Manage and execute Mechanical Construction works for a Central Processing Platform (CPP) starting from EPCIC tendering until completion of EPCIC phase. The job holder also interfaces, coordinates and manages EPCIC Contractor and their Subcontractors to deliver the works in accordance with the specifications, technical, quality, schedule & budget requirements and in safely manner. Principal Accountabilities Senior Engineer, Mechanical Construction (Offshore) shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Responsible Responsibilities During EPCIC Bidding Support technical bid clarifications and review technical proposals from EPCIC bidders regarding Mechanical Construction works. Responsibilities During EPCIC Execution Manage and supervise EPCIC Contractor and their Subcontractors toward Mechanical Construction works, e.g., Mechanical Equipment Packages (Static & Rotating) and Pressure Vessels Installation, Hook-up, Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning works, of the Central Processing Platform (CPP) in order to ensure quality, safety and timely completion of the construction works. Focal point to review all Mechanical Construction procedures, schedule & work sequence, method statement, shop drawings, lifting plan and all other documents prepared by EPCIC Contractor and their Subcontractors. Focal point to ensure the quality of Construction works performed by EPCIC Contractor and their Subcontractors in compliance with COMPANY\'s specifications and engineering requirements. Focal point to resolve all technical and quality issues arise at worksite(s) regarding Mechanical Construction works. Create and promoted positive Safety, Security, Environment and Health (SSHE) culture awareness among COMPANY Project team, EPCIC Contractor and all Subcontractor teams. Assist Construction Manager to expedite and closely monitor Construction work progress, including analyzing root cause and provide mitigations/solutions in case of delay. Support COMPANY Engineering team to review all Detailed Engineering and Vendor documents relating to Mechanical Packages and attend relevant workshops during Detailed Engineering and meetings/FAT at Vendors\' workshops. Qualifications And Experience Bachelor\'s degree, or equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Professional certificate by accredited Bodies/ Associations is an advantage but not necessary. Work Experiences Minimum of 15 years direct experience in Offshore Platform Mechanical Construction, Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning works and including experience in CPP EPC/EPCI/EPCIC Construction project. Must have Work Experiences in both Client side (with major O&G Companies) and EPC Contractor side (with major Offshore EPC Contractors) Desired Competency (Skills And Abilities) Must have extensive knowledge & experience in Mechanical Construction of Offshore Platforms, and including quality control, schedule control and project management. Familiar with international codes and standards related to Mechanical Equipment Packages and Pressure Vessels Engineering Design, Manufacturing/Fabrication, Installation and Quality Standards in Oil & Gas industry and also related local regulations. Good communication, coordination and organizing skills with ability to work with minimal supervision and liaise effectively and efficiently with other team members and outside stakeholders. Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills and integrity. Contractor Management skills with strong personality and able to drive EPCIC Contractor toward project goals.
