Job Description

Job Purpose To draft contracts and provide legal advisory work to Corporate Centre, edotco Malaysia and its subsidiaries. To provide legal advisory and contracts review services to Corporate Centre, edotco Malaysia and its subsidiaries pertaining to corporate matters and related business activities Ensure the statutory compliance of in-country legal rules, regulations, guidelines & circulars of the respective Regulators To assist the Head, Legal in managing the provision of legal services to various stakeholders which includes, but not be limited to: i. business operation matters, ii. procurement; and iii. other ancillary commercial matters as may be requested by the stakeholders This role reports to Head, Legal, Corporate Centre Key Accountabilities Main PIC for all legal matters relating to edotco Malaysia and its subsidiaries Provide legal advice and opinions to Corporate Centre, edotco Malaysia and its subsidiaries management Provide legal support services regarding contractual activities including drafting, vetting, reviewing contracts, conduct negotiations and completion of contractual agreements or arrangements related to sourcing / procurement activities Advise and assist in corporate exercises such as M&As Liaise & coordinate with external solicitors in respect of all legal issues of the Corporate Centre, edotco Malaysia and its subsidiaries e.g., external opinions, vetting contracts, managing industrial relations and disputes matters Implement preventive law strategies, policies and compliance programmes Working with and managing stakeholders and business units on various matters including, but not limited to legal advice Assist the Head, Legal in all matters under her purview, whether legal related or otherwise Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge LLB degree with work experience of at least 4 years and no more than 6 years in corporate legal matters, contracts with some exposure on litigation matters Admitted to the High Court of Malaya Telecommunications or regulated industry legal experience an added advantage Strong drafting and vetting skills Possess strong negotiating and problem-solving skills Ability to undertake and conduct research independently Commercial minded Hands-on flexible attitude
