Job Description

We are looking for experienced talents who specialist in Customs operation with logistic knowledge to join our Ocean Freight team. This role will be responsible to provide assistant to general operational ocean freight functions.
The role requires to execute the below tasks and initiative:

• To plan and organize smooth operational arrangement for clearance
• Coordinate with Customer Service and Operation on CDZ issues
• To operate at minimum cost and maximize yields/profitability
• To monitor and supervise all customs declaration and clearance activities
• Responsible to acknowledge and reply all communications on a timely manner
• To plan department manpower/resources
• To ensure proper documents return back to office for imp/exp dept to do billing
• To liaise with Customer Service pertaining to query by Customs Department
• To handle all customs query related to OFR shipments
• To maintain and improve job performance
• To monitor and ensure no hanging form in the custom system on weekly basis
• To ensure compliance of ISO/EMS requirements and standard
• All area of CDZ responsibilities including Customs Duties cheque control
• Any other tasks provided by immediate superior from time to time

To be successful in this role, we are expecting the below:

• Posses Diploma/ bachelor\'s degree in Logistic Management & Transportation or any equivalent academic background.
• Must possess detailed custom knowledge on indoor/outdoor
• Ability to manage a team as plays a leader role to also manage CDZ runners to cover Penang mainland area on outdoor activities.
• Minimum 2 year working experience in the freight forwarding business.
• Exposure to Freight Forwarding will be added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as Microsoft Outlook
• This position required be physically station at Butterworth Office (Based in Penang mainland) to perform team coordination/self on indoor/outdoor or attend custom officer concerning mainland office.
• Able to plays a leader role to manage 2 CDZ FTE runner to cover Penang mainland area on outdoor activities.
