POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

• Design & Planning: Ensure that each project has a clear scoping, execution plan and the necessary planning approval.
• Construction: Ensure all the process is undertaken in accordance to the contract.
• Project Management: Ensure that each project is executed in a timely manner in accordance to the agreed execution plan, and within the approved budget, and all interfacing with Tenant is addressed to achieve the overall project deliverables.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Strategize, drive and manage execution of the construction activities from initiation stage until close-out with achieving timely completion, within the stipulated budget and comply with quality, health, safety and environment standards and policies.
• Drive construction performance including mitigate risks/opportunities during construction execution and delivery.
• Gather the necessary data to perform risk assessment, develop and execute a work program to achieve the deliverables of each project based on set target.
• Prepare/review/execute the work program, method statements, material approvals, instructions and any documents submitted by Consultants/Contactors.
• Engage stakeholders not limited to Tenants/MA Sepang/MASB/local authorities to identify development requirements and follow up with Consultants/Contractors on outstanding matters with key stakeholders.
• Prepare approval paper and project progress report to Management/EXCO & BOD.
• Conduct tender evaluation of the project where applicable and prepare the tender evaluation report for Procurement Committee approval.
• Evaluate and assess project progress on site and report any delay and any event that could lead to potential delay.
• Attend all the site visits and related meetings.
• Join the site evaluation and verify the progress for payment claims by Contractor.
• Monitor and track status of authorities approval, material approval, RFIs, Site Instructions, NCR and Defects.
• Coordinate site handover to Contractor and site handover to the End User (Tenant/MA Sepang/MASB/local authorities).
• Other job scope as assigned by superior/management from time to time.

Skills

• C&S or any other related background with working experience in construction/development project management, including managing project delivery vendors e.g., Consultants, Contractors.
• Preferably a certified professional engineer/achitect. Well verse in ACAD & Microsoft Project.
• Well versed in related engineering design functions e.g C&S, M&E, geotechnical, survey works, JKR Arahan Teknik, guidelines on Urban Storm Water Management (MSMA), guidelines onUniform Building By Law (UBBL), Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA) and Road Safety Audit (RSA).
• Well versed in construction method statements.
• To demonstrate has experience in dealing with authorities.
• Well versed in real property infrastructure/building planning and development aspects, well versed with authorities planning and approval processes and requirements and familiarity and good networking with relevant local authorities.
• Proven ability to solve problems creatively and experienced in full cycle of project management process.
• Strong willingness to learn new skill and able to work independently.
• Able to work in a team with great team player traits.

• Degree holder with minimum 3.0 CGPA with minimum 5 years relevant working experience.

Education

External

• Degree in Civil/Structure Engineering, Architecture, Building, Construction Management or equivalent.(Master Degree or Professional Engineering qualification is an added advantage).
