Job Description


Job Purpose:Assist in monitoring the performance of financings and overall credit exposures to safeguard the Bank\'s asset quality in a well-defined reporting structure and timely manner to support oversight and decision making by senior management and the Board.Principal Accountabilities: * Timely production and circulation of credit risk reports to Senior Management and the Board of Directors.

  • Analyze the Bank\'s financing database and prepare credit risk reports for Management Committee and Board of Directors.
  • Prepare appropriate analysis/report required by the Management and Board of Directors to identify credit risk issues and escalate the concerns to superior on timely manner.
2. Timely submission of credit risk report and analysis to BNM.
  • Prepare monthly submission reports within the stipulated timeline.
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis/report requested by auditors and regulators.
3. Effective monitoring of credit risk profile in accordance with risk appetite.
  • Assist in monitoring exposures set by the Bank and regulators to ensure no breaches of limits and Bank\'s portfolio is well diversified and not over-concentrated to certain industries and individuals.
4. Continuous improvement in credit risk management in accordance with regulatory expectation and best practice.
  • Assist in proposing remedial actions to resolve issues raised by BNM on Bank\'s Composite Risk Rating (CRR).
  • Highlight data related issues and active involvement in system enhancement to improve data accuracy.
5. Ensure enforcement of credit risk policies.
  • Prepare all the required data/analysis to assist the review of credit policies and risk limits.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with knowledge in retail and business banking and credit risk management tools, functions, and techniques.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business / Risk Management / Finance / Economics or related discipline.
  • Preferably with AICB\'s recognized professional certification in credit and/or risk management.
  • Strong critical and analytical thinking skills.
  • Detailed-oriented and have solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in Excel, Power Point and data analytical tools.
  • Independent and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
