Job Description

Responsibility

Manage the full set of accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end closing processes. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support the retail business's financial planning. Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring timely payments, collections, and cash reconciliation for retail outlets. Work closely with the retail team to reconcile inventory balances, track stock levels, and analyze variances. Analyze and track expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities where possible and monitoring adherence to budgets. Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including preparation and submission of GST/SST and other statutory requirements. Prepare audit schedules and work with external auditors during annual audits. Maintain the accounting system (ERP) and improve reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations and reporting.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in full set accounting, preferably within the retail industry. Proficient in accounting software (e.g. SQL and ERP System) and Microsoft. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Familiarity with inventory management, cost accounting, and handling of retail transactions. Good understanding of GST/SST regulations and other relevant tax laws.
