The Senior Finance / Accounts Executive is responsible for assisting in the financial operations of University, including financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, and compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all financial transactions are properly documented.
Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Assist in financial analysis, forecasting, and budget preparation.
Ensure financial records comply with statutory requirements and accounting standards.
Support the audit process by preparing financial statements, reports, and necessary documentation.
Process and verify invoices, payment vouchers, and employee reimbursements.
Ensure timely processing of payments to suppliers, vendors, and service providers.
Handle student billing, tuition fee management, and revenue collection.
Issue invoices, receipts, and reminders for outstanding payments.
Maintain and update accounts payable and receivable aging reports.
Monitor and reconcile bank statements and transactions.
Handle petty cash management, ensuring proper documentation of cash flow.
Manage inter-company transactions, keeping accurate records and reconciliations.
Prepare monthly cash flow reports and recommend actions for efficient cash management.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and expense monitoring reports.
Track expenditures and ensure spending is within the approved budget.
Support in cost control initiatives and financial efficiency improvements.
Assist in maintaining and updating the Fixed Asset Register.
Ensure adherence to financial policies, statutory regulations, and tax requirements.
Assist in tax filings and liaise with external auditors and tax agents.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records and transactions.
Support the implementation of internal financial controls to safeguard university assets.
Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Liaise with banks, external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies as required.
Provide financial guidance and assistance to internal stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.
Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is an advantage.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting.
Experience in handling full sets of accounts, financial reporting, and budget management.
Prior experience in the education sector or similar industry is preferred.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax compliance.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, SQL, or equivalent).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
