KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Responsible to establish funding strategies to meet funding gap, optimizing the capital structure and setting investment capacity through capital allocation.
2. Evaluate and analyse international and local funding proposals, provide recommendations as well as liaise and negotiate with financiers on terms and conditions of the financing facilities.
3. Responsible to coordinate and execute new funding initiatives and corporate exercises (i.e. appointment of advisors, due diligence, etc).
4. Provide analytical support to business units in the commercial evaluation and financial decision making.
5. Coordinate cross functional team on the development and implementation of capital management framework, contribute to capital management process improvements, and administer group investment committee meetings.
6. Manage local and international credit rating review and liaise with rating agencies to ensure credit ratings are maintained.
7. Gather, compile and analyse financial and non-financial data, and prepare data disclosures to facilitate due diligence exercises, credit rating maintenances, etc.
8. Build and maintain strong relationships with other stakeholders from the international and local capital market, including but not limited to investors, bankers, rating agencies, legal counsels, trustees, etc.

QUALIFICATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Degree in the field of Finance/ Accounting/ Banking/ Commerce or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years relevant professional experience with good knowledge of financial analysis.
• Experience in and/or understanding of corporate advisory work will be an advantage.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

• Sound understanding and knowledge of power utility business, business planning and strategy development and commercial awareness.
• Experience in a financial analysis role, debt capital market and fundraising exercises.
• In-depth professional knowledge in finance and cash flow forecasting.
• Well-versed of the Malaysian FRS and knowledge of the Malaysia Income Tax Act and Companies Act 2016.
• Sound business and financial judgment combined with problem-solving abilities.
• Good understanding of processes, internal controls and relevant regulations.
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, along with the ability to apply those skills across a variety of business processes.
• Good project planning, organisational and management skills.
• Strong communication, report writing and presentation skills and strong command of English, both written and verbal.
• IT savvy - Proficient in at least Microsoft Office (Excel, Words, Powerpoint), Visio, Outlook, SAP, and able to learn new applications quickly.

• Perform all tasks in line with the Procurement Policies and Procedures (PPP) and Manual of Authority (MOA).
• Improve competencies for adapting to a rapidly changing business environment.
