Administer, monitor, and maintain LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, routers, switches, and VPN connections.
Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of network systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents, outages, and connectivity issues promptly.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers for network-related upgrades and maintenance.
Cybersecurity Management
Implement, monitor, and maintain security solutions such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, anti-virus, and SIEM tools.
Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis to identify security gaps.
Monitor security logs, alerts, and respond to incidents, including malware attacks, phishing, or unauthorized access attempts.
Enforce IT security policies, access controls, and data protection standards.
System & Infrastructure Support
Provide support for servers, data centers, cloud solutions, and backup/recovery processes.
Manage user accounts, authentication, and permissions in Active Directory or equivalent systems.
Ensure system patches, firmware, and security updates are deployed in a timely manner.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure compliance with regulatory, institutional, and industry cybersecurity standards (e.g., ISO, GDPR, PDPA).
Develop and maintain IT security documentation, SOPs, and network diagrams.
Support internal/external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
Training & Awareness
Conduct IT and cybersecurity awareness programs for staff, faculty, and students.
Act as a point of escalation for IT support related to network and cybersecurity issues.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
4-7 years of relevant experience in network administration and cybersecurity.
Strong knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, SIEM, endpoint security, and network monitoring tools.
Hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent network security solutions.
Familiarity with Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud).
Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISSP (preferred).
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
