KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Implements strategic information management with the team by focusing on knowledge acquisition, sharing, storage, information systems, internal controls, and refinement to create value, leverage and refine Finance's knowledge assets to meet organizational goals, policies, and procedures as well as in meeting regulatory compliance
  • Oversees and provides strategic feedback on staff matters to maximize team performance and overall Finance Capability Management/Competency Assurance/Talent Development Program efforts within Finance, including other HR Related matters, such as Finance HiPo Rotation Program, Finance Internship Program ("FIP"), Sarawak Energy Employee Survey ("SEES") Intervention, Finance Onboarding Program, and acts as focal point of communication between Human Resource (HR) Department and Finance
  • Responsible to manage and oversee the administration of the Finance Repository & Finance Portal in compliance with the Enterprise Information Management Procedures and responsible as the focal person on Information Management with the ICT team
  • Coordinates and facilitates the top management in developing, reporting and conducts complementary activities in achieving the Corporate Financial KPIs and Departmental KPIs, managing stakeholders, i.e., Strategic and Corporate Development Department, HR, Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) and other relevant departments, including the preparation and updates of CFO Report/Dashboard by ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the information gathered from respective Finance divisions and other relevant departments
  • Responsible as a Procurement Ambassador in Finance for centralised procurement activities and the focal point for proactive collaboration with Contract and Procurement ("C&P") Department particularly on the updates to the Procurement Policies & Procedures ("PPP") and Sarawak Energy Vendor Appraisal and Award ("SEVAA") Program
  • Effectively leads the administrative support services such as departmental planning, external and internal communication, budget, management of assigned activities and performance and metrics reporting of cost centers under Finance and oversees the operationalization of Flexible Working Arrangement PPGs in Finance and, the centralisation of Finance department's working arrangement in line with the relevant policies and procedures
  • Acts as the focal point for financial information requests and release via Government Surveys with the Government Relations team in line with the Sarawak Energy Manual of Authority ("MOA")

  • Being able to anticipate, record, communicate, problem solve, and/or escalate different type of issues to ensure the delivery of the initiatives within in timely manner to the expected timelines by CFO and the stakeholders
QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • A recognized degree in the field of accounting, finance, economics, or computer science
  • Minimum 6 to 8 years working experience with specific experience on information/knowledge and/or performance management
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of the business and its industry
  • Able to critically analyse and understand the link between financial and operational information
  • Possess strong proficiency in spreadsheet, word processing, power-point, data visualization /dashboarding software
  • Possess strong organizational skills. presentation skills, good quantitative / statistical / analytical skills, research skills, and problem-solving skills and is detail oriented
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prepare clear, comprehensive, analytical written and verbal reports for the management
