Senior Financial Analyst

We are currently recruiting for a renowned software company in Malaysia who are looking to hire an experienced Senior Financial Analyst, who will be responsible for finance and accounting matters for the assigned legal entity(s) in the company. The successful candidate will be supporting and reporting directly to the Head of Finance, based in PJ.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for financial analysis, financial planning, and development of financial models.
• Perform quarter and annual forecast, cost projections and analysis.
• Participate in development, implementation, review of accounting policies and identify areas of improvement.
• Preparation of periodical and annual budgets and implement budgetary control processes.
• Responsible for monthly financial reporting matters and coordination of annual statutory audit and relevant tax matters.
• Drive automation of operational processes to strengthen internal controls.
• Oversee finance functions for the group of companies and ensuring that team members have clarity on their roles and responsibility.
• Perform ad-hoc duties and assignments as and when required.

Skills & Experience Required:

• MUST be a professionally qualified accountant ie. ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant financial reporting and FP&A experience, preferably with a career foundation in external audit in a Big 4 Firm.
• Possess strong critical thinking, interpersonal and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with ability to produce automations/dashboards
• Excellent written and communication skills in both English and Chinese
