  • Collaborate within and outside of Finance to understand and propose focus on different functions\' analytics needs; and develop use cases relevant to key stakeholders and decision-makers within and beyond the department in line with the goal of using data as strategic assets.
  • Facilitate the application of proper frameworks, methodologies, models, and algorithms using different data tools in developing models, running simulations, and optimization in the development of Data Analytics solutions in the Finance Department.
  • Work with data owners and relevant teams within and outside of the Finance Department and ICT Department to define requirements for proper data acquisition and integration of multiple data sources through proper ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) methods and tools (such as DAX and SQL) to enable proper data collection to be used to drive data-driven decision-making agenda.
  • Lead and support data owners to communicate data-driven insights through creation of rich interactive visualizations and proper dashboards built using Business Intelligence suites such as PowerBI.
  • Collaborate with the ICT Department and other relevant parties to maintain data quality and consistency.
  • Develop and monitor the roadmap and initiatives to increase the adoption of data analytics solutions and data-driven insights in the Finance Department in line with SEB Group\'s overall goal.
  • Foster Data Management & Analytics continuous learning and build a data-driven culture within the Finance Department through relevant upskilling, boot camps, knowledge-sharing, and certification programs.
  • Spearhead and collaborate in the implementation of relevant cross-departmental or cross-functional Data Management & Analytics projects within or outside of the Finance Department.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments of the latest technology in the domain of Data Management & Analytics such as Self-service Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning, and proactively identify potential tools and solutions that can be adopted in Finance.

QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • A recognised degree in the field of Data Science, Finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or any equivalent quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant working experience.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • Strong Proficiency in advanced Excel techniques, SQL knowledge, PowerBI, and/or similar technologies for BI reporting. Advanced scripting experience in R or Python, or exposure to Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Sparks) a plus.
  • Ability to present a compelling narrative from insights gathered from data through dashboards and other visualization techniques.
  • Strong quantitative/statistical skill set.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and data pipelining tools and approaches across all data lifecycle stages.
  • Detailed understanding of underlying mathematical foundations of statistics, including knowledge of experimental design and analysis and causal inference from observational data.
  • Familiar with ERP systems, and data analytics, and demonstrate a strong understanding of AI, Blockchain, Machine Learning, and other emerging technologies.
