Rare opportunity to be part of a dynamic legal team in a world leading communications technology company. We are now looking for a Group Legal Counsel to be based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, are you interested?

You will be a member of the MOAI Legal Affairs team which is a part of Ericsson\xe2\x80\x99s global Group Function Legal Affairs & Compliance team.The main scope of the work is contractual and negotiation support with customers, suppliers, and partners in various countries within MOAI (mainly South-East Asia). This is a senior position. You will be expected to independently provide legal support to internal (Ericsson) clients and to uphold a high service level in doing so. You are required to show high integrity and business acumen as well as keeping in mind the interest of the Ericsson Group as-a-whole. From time to time, the job will require international travel.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality and highly efficient legal support to internal clients in complex matters;
• Provide legal advice and risk assessments to your internal clients on all kinds of matters; e.g. contracting, relevant regulatory matters, dispute resolution and legal compliance;
• Draft, review and negotiate agreements and other legal documents;
• Interface with external customers and suppliers with their legal counsel
• Prepare and provide legal training to internal clients;
• Keep track of relevant new or changed legislation;
• Manage outside counsel and other external advisors.

Key Qualifications;

• Bachelor of Law degree or equivalent. The degree should cover a Common Law jurisdiction (e.g. Australia, England or Malaysia).
• Qualified lawyer with at least eight years of experience at a mid to large-size law firm or large in-house legal team;
• Experience in telecommunications, ICT, intellectual property, data protection/privacy and security and competition law (or desire to specialize in these areas)
• Experience working in a global company or on cross-border transactions (good to have);
• Cultural awareness;
• Fluency in English;
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills;
• Team spirit and ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Excellent networking ability, and oral and written communication and Social skills.

• Proactivity and independence;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities;
• Desire to continuously improve and learn including about the technology we supply.
