Position Title: Senior Industrial Automation Programmer

Tenure: Permanent

Remuneration: RM 7,000- RM 8,000

• Identification of new opportunities for automation within the manufacturing process.
• Management of a project team.
• Designing new automation equipment or processes.
• Simulating and testing these processes or equipment to ensure they function as desired.
• Writing reports for outlining new concepts, testing outcomes, and ongoing efficiency.
• Programming new automated components to the manufacturing process.
• Developing and maintaining clear and accurate documentation of automation equipment or processes.
• Staff training where necessary - typically after implementing new processes or equipment or making changes to existing ones.
• Troubleshooting automated processes or equipment when errors occur.
• Software testing & validation. Establish validation protocols for PLC & Vision system programs.
• Adhere to good documentation practices.
• Attending workshops, training sessions and conferences to network with others and stay on top of field advancements.

Job Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Industrial, Computer) or any equivalent discipline
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of working experiences in industry automation with project development knowledge.
• Candidate with automation design, PLC programming experience, understanding of computer programming and software development is required
• Proactive, creative thinking and able to demonstrate problem-solving skills
• Knowledgeable in design, development, test and debug of real-time multi-threaded applications on PC-based platform in C/C++/C# will be advantageous
• Familiar with hardware integration such as motors, sensors, motion and I/O controllers and machine vision hardware such as lightings, cameras will be advantageous
