Summary

For either multiple sites or a large complex site with many customers and business models, the Senior Manager, IT Site Services provides leadership to the IT Solutions team who provides Systems analysis, design, development and support for Global Systems (including SFC, ERP and Integration) and also the IT Infrastructure team who provides infrastructure services and support. Provides direct and indirect supervision to subordinate managers and employees performing diverse roles within a site. Accountable for projects or programs on a multi-functional or national basis. Work is guided by broad site objectives and corporate policy. Work requires developing solutions, precedents, and/or policies. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and sets goals to achieve objectives. Establishes long-term plans/objectives and recommends changes to policies. Develops department budgets and goals.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Provide leadership to a team who provides systems analysis, design, development, communication and support for existing Global IT Systems
  • Lead and manage multi-functional or national projects/programs
  • Provide direct and indirect supervision to subordinate managers and employees, motivating them towards a common goal, as well as perform regular people leader activities - reviewing performance, approving employee compensation, recruitment and coaching employees in terms of growth and development
  • Develops and owns budgets and investments for a large and complex site or a group of smaller sites
  • Integrate and manage external service suppliers
  • Lead and support change management efforts as it relates to the introduction of new solutions and policy changes
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies
  • Excellent leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage teams in multiple locations and countries
  • In-depth knowledge of data analysis and ability to resolve complex process/system problems using financial, analytical and statistical models.
  • Extensive knowledge of management methodologies and finance.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong communication (both oral and written) and presentation skills.
  • Strong Ability to identify In Depth Knowledge of IT requirements for an end to end solution, including security, business continuity, disaster recovery, Risk analysis and prepare Business Case
  • Strong ability to plan projects and tasks.
  • Ability to negotiate budgets and plans with business owners and financial controllers.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Broad knowledge of Celestica IT architecture strategies.
  • Understanding of IT Infrastructure & Networking & Application Development LifeCycle
  • Extensive experience in Customer relationship management
  • In-depth Knowledge / experience with application integration and technical analysis
  • In-depth Knowledge in process design and documentation methodologies
  • Broad knowledge of an electronic manufacturing environment, materials and processes.
  • Good knowledge of SCM and manufacturing processes and ERP applications.
Physical Demands
  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
Typical Experience
  • 11+ years experience in Information Technology with a least 5 years within manufacturing and preferably 3+ years within the Electronics Manufacturing Services or Contract Manufacturing Sector.
  • Experience working with and negotiating with from shop floor thru to senior management and also with customers and suppliers. Experience as an IT Manager of a medium to large site
