The Senior Lecturer / Lecturer is responsible for the design, delivery, and assessment of academic programmes. This role also involves supporting student affairs and contributing to recruitment activities with the aim of providing exceptional academic services, enhancing the student experience, and strengthening the Faculty's and University's reputation and standing.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver, manage, and conduct teaching using face-to-face, online, or other approved instructional methods as directed by the Faculty or School.
Communicate effectively and engage with students to provide academic, career, and personal development guidance.
Serve as Course Leader to facilitate the effective delivery of assigned courses.
Design and prepare curriculum, course outlines, lesson plans, learning materials, and student activities.
Monitor and assess students' coursework, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of progress and achievement.
Upload, monitor, and update course materials and assessments on the University's virtual learning platform.
Coordinate with regional centre tutors to monitor course progress and ensure quality control.
Collaborate with external partners and industry professionals to incorporate industry-relevant content into course delivery.
Prepare, review, and moderate multiple sets of final examination questions for both modular and non-modular programmes.
Mark and moderate examination papers and assignments as required by the Faculty, ensuring timely completion.
Input examination marks, verify accuracy, and prepare course performance reports for the Board of Examiners meeting.
Undertake research or scholarly activities and supervise students' research projects and placements as appropriate.
Contribute to the design, development, and delivery of academic programmes within the Faculty.
Identify and develop new modules, including preparing tables of content (TOC) and other relevant documentation.
Assist in the preparation of documents for accreditation submissions (e.g., MQA).
Support the continuous improvement of teaching and learning approaches and methodologies.
Participate in programme reviews and contribute to implementing quality enhancement initiatives in line with the University's quality framework.
Collaborate and engage with other University departments on teaching and learning matters.
Attend meetings, training sessions, briefings, and other relevant academic or administrative events.
Serve as an invigilator for examinations as required.
Participate in marketing, recruitment, and promotional events when needed.
Undertake any other duties assigned by the Dean, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, or University Management.
Provide guidance and training to junior lecturers when necessary.
Educational Qualifications
Minimum qualification: PhD or Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Engineering, or other closely related fields.
Skills & Experience Requirements
Minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience; industry experience is an added advantage.
Fresh graduates with PhD or Master's qualifications are encouraged to apply.
Ability to work flexible hours as required by academic duties.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
