We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and analytical Legal Counsel to join our exceptional team! Your primary responsibility will be to provide professional and practical legal advice fused with commercial sense. You will also play a crucial role in ensuring compliance and governance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
-Identify legal risks and devise alternative strategies within your designated area.

-Ensure contracts/documents accurately reflect business and commercial concerns while complying with legal obligations.

-Stay proactive in monitoring changes in relevant laws and regulations and adapt accordingly.

-Evaluate and mitigate the exposure of the business to legal risks.

-Resolve legacy and liability issues with legal implications efficiently.

-Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.

-Contribute to team efforts, future legal initiatives, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and foster a sustainable culture of change.

-Work independently but collaboratively within a virtual team to provide cross-support and guidance as needed.

Dimensions:

As a Legal Counsel, you will support day-to-day challenges across our value chain, covering all classes of business and its local and foreign subsidiaries.
Requirements

-Minimum of 10 years experience as Legal Counsel/Corporate Lawyer

-Preferably has legal experience from listed companies.

-Preferably Manager/senior level who has experience in managing a team.

-Law degree and professional legal qualification with a strong academic background.

-Minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience, ideally in a law firm or legal department of a medium to large international corporation.

-Fluent in written and spoken English.

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts in simple language to non-lawyers and provide clear and concise legal advice.

-Knowledge of legal areas relevant to e-commerce and digital, including contracting and procurement.

-Ability to understand and align with business drivers and needs, drafting contracts with a thorough understanding of the business and commercial intentions.

-Strong influencing, negotiating, and facilitation skills.

-Exposure to international civil and/or common law contracts.

-Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients at all levels and across various cultures.
