Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Strategic Planning & Market Entry

Develop and implement Group-wide sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, delivery, and risk management. Drive supplier rationalization and regional/global sourcing initiatives to support cost-down and competitiveness. Ensure supply chain resilience in response to global shifts, trade barriers, and customer requirements.

2. Cost Competitiveness & Value Creation

Lead cost reduction programs to achieve annual savings targets, contributing directly to Group profitability. Implement structured negotiations, supplier benchmarking, and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis. Collaborate with BU Heads to support margin improvement in Medical, EV, and BoxBuild projects.

3. Supplier Management & ESG Compliance

Build strong, strategic partnerships with key suppliers to ensure long-term value creation. Enforce compliance with Supplier Code of Conduct and ESG expectations (labour, environment, governance). Audit suppliers to ensure alignment with RBA standards and customer-driven compliance frameworks.

4. Cross-Site & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with operations, finance, engineering, and BU heads to align sourcing strategies with business objectives. Lead cross-site sourcing projects to leverage economies of scale and harmonize supplier contracts across countries. Provide strategic input into CAPEX planning and vendor selection for new technologies and automation.

5. Process Excellence & Digitalization

Introduce digital sourcing tools and data analytics to improve transparency, traceability, and performance monitoring. Establish Group-wide KPIs for sourcing (cost savings, on-time delivery, supplier quality, ESG compliance). Standardize procurement policies, workflows, and reporting across all company sites.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 12 years' experience in procurement/sourcing, with at least 5 years in a regional or group leadership role. Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost-down initiatives. Strong knowledge of plastics, resins, metals, electronics, and automation equipment procurement. Familiarity with ESG compliance, RBA standards, and MNC customer audit requirements. Excellent negotiation, communication, and cross-cultural management skills. Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities. Ability to lead cross-border sourcing initiatives and deliver measurable results.

Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
