Vacancy Description Thisrole will be responsible for management and administration of purchasingfunction to support construction activities at sites towards meeting customersand company\'s quality, quantity, price and delivery requirements. Tasks & Responsibilities 1. To participate in procurement of construction materials, plant and equipment for construction activities. 2. Ensure that the procurement process, documentation, forms and systems are properly executed and operationalized. 3. To plan, develop, improve and implement approved purchasing policies, procedures, guidelines and work instructions. 4. To source and qualify suppliers in accordance to ISO guidelines and recommend appointment and / or removal of suppliers from approved suppliers list. 5. To undertake study on market condition, price trends and / or issues concerning materials, plants, equipment and supplies and make recommendation to Management. 6. To negotiate terms and prices with suppliers and recommend purchase. 7. To supervise purchasing function: - i. Ensure relevant purchasing documentations are raised for approved purchases. ii. Verify purchase orders, invoices, debit notes and credit notes and recommend approval. iii. Coordinate material delivery to respective sites and payment to suppliers. iv. Application and update of credit facilities with suppliers / trading companies. 8. To compile and update cost data bank on construction materials, plant and equipment. 9. To prepare periodically purchases report against budget for Management\'s review. 10. To direct periodic inventory verification. 11. To resolve supplier problems related to quality, performance and service level. 12. To interview, select and recommend recruitment of staff for approved vacancy and responsible for staff training, performance evaluation and discipline. 13. To carry out any other duties as and when instructed by the Management from time to time. Accountabilities 1. To produce timely and accurate reporting of your business or operational activities to your superior(s). 11. To formulate and execute clear strategies to run the business or operations under your care to achieve the objectives set by your superior(s). 12. To ensure that you have a clear and accurate understanding of the industry you are operating in, including operational challenges, trends affecting your industry and accurate competitor analysis. 13. To implement and ensure compliance on all policies and procedures which are relevant and required by Quality, Safety, Health and Environment (QSHE) management system. Education Degree in any Field Experience Minimum 8 Years
