To execute development projects (infrastructure and building) and ensure delivered within a predetermined scope, time, cost and quality to the Clients/Tenants by using effective and efficient project management tools, managing multi disciplined teams of employees, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders and leading all vertical and horizontal project lifecycle activities.
To lead and manage all project functions related to project management, site management, project control, engineering management, procurement, construction management to meet the project(s) goals.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
STRATEGIC
Lead and drive developmental projects (medium to large scale projects, including infrastructure) to ensure the project is executed by the external vendor achieving committed project deliverables and milestones.
Drive, strategize and formulate CM's learning, leadership and capability development, new learning culture of accelerated learning to build talents and competent workforce.
FUNCTIONAL
Lead, manage, and oversee projects effectively - engineering budget, project schedules and project control budgets.
Review project scope and assist in developing project budgets and ensure company procedures are followed through.
Review and negotiate professional services contracts.
Deliver the appropriate reports / presentation on the status of projects.
Chair meetings and communicate progress reports to management.
Provide periodic physical and financial progress reports for the Budget Owner and Board.
Coordinate walk through inspections for administration of the handover to the Client.
Set target for consultants, contractors, project managers and other stakeholders or contributors to curtail viscosity between design, procurement and construction elements
Promote value engineering and leaner methods of construction by researching and promoting new methods or materials
Support and maintain a specific construction master strategic plan through delivery of project specific execution and management plans
Create and continuously update policies, procedures, guidelines and forms to control the projects at every development stage
Chair regular weekly, monthly and quarterly progress meetings with stakeholders as required for the portfolio of projects.
Develop and communicate Project Management construction guidelines and outline specifications to ensure project compliance
Conduct regular reviews of schematic design drawings, design development drawings and construction documents
Administer project completion, collection of close out documents, processing final payment and warranty
Coordinate with other divisions/ departments to ensure project goals are met
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
Provide guidance, advice and direction to all staff and to promote teamwork and quality services
Develop the succession plans for CM personnel and job enrichment.
To provide guidance on construction management and contract issues.
To impart with technical experience on construction management.
Key Challenges
To identify appropriate development ventures in view of limited resources and various limitations.
To secure quality investors to participate in the proposed development; to balance the investors requirement and Company's interest.
To obtain appropriate approvals for the selected development proposals.

Relevant Industries
Minimum 10 years' experience with at least 5 years at managerial level in areas related to civil and structural engineering and /or project management.
Education
Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Engineering (Civil), Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil). Master in Project Management is added advantage.
UNIQUE REQUIREMENT
Experiences with reputable large developers (large land banks) and/or design, engineering and project-management experiences with global firms and local experience in dealing with local authorities would be an advantage.
