Responsible for the materials strategy in assigned region/division/segment. Includes responsibility for situational analysis, Strategy development & guidance in implementation for the functional disciplines of supply chain development, risk mitigation, negotiation, procurement, planning & inventory control. These strategies should support the individual customer\xe2\x80\x99s needs & be complementary to overall Supply Chain Management (SCM) goals.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\xc2\xb7 Staff the functional area of responsibility to meet divisional objectives.
\xc2\xb7 Establish & communicate expectations of each position in terms of mission & goals.
\xc2\xb7 Identify individual & team strengths & development needs on an ongoing basis.
\xc2\xb7 Create &/or validate training curriculum in functional area of responsibility.
\xc2\xb7 Coach & mentor team members to deliver excellence to every customer.
\xc2\xb7 Assist with creation and management of succession plans.
\xc2\xb7 Establish clear measurable goals & objectives to determine individual & team results (ie SCM metrics, knowledge of operational roles & responsibilities, personal development goals).

\xc2\xb7 Examine current supply chain models & identify & implement best proactive business to meet needs.
\xc2\xb7 Develop supply base/chain models that meet the needs of High, Mid & Low Volume Market business. .
\xc2\xb7 Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes & systems (ie modification of responsibilities, elimination of non-value-added processes or complete reengineering of processes & systems).
\xc2\xb7 Define, develop & make effective use of cost analysis and risk mitigation tools.
\xc2\xb7 Provide feedback to staff on cost & cost trends.
\xc2\xb7 Develop senior level supply base relationships in region that will ensure assurance of supply, preferred terms set, pricing & etc.
\xc2\xb7 Develop & implement initiatives for region that will enhance cash cycle & improve margin.
\xc2\xb7 Communicate customer\xe2\x80\x99s needs to Commodity Management, NPI Supply Chain Project Managers, Operations Materials Management to ensure that Jabil provides supply chain solutions that foster success.
\xc2\xb7 Implement and/or participate in Design Incentive Agreement negotiation and ensure DIA registration is on time.
\xc2\xb7 Ensure the required system tools (SAP, Windchill, JIS, In-Control tools, etc.) are utilized effectively within the team.
\xc2\xb7 Focus on achievement of SCM financial & operational goals.
\xc2\xb7 Serve as escalation point for customer issues that cannot be resolved in a timely manner within the functional area.
\xc2\xb7 Adhere to safety & health rules & regulations and company security policy.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS\xc2\xb7 Ability to read, analyze, interpret and communicate regarding common scientific and/or technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to effectively present information to Business Unit Management, Customer, and other members of the Jabil materials community. Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil\xe2\x80\x99s software packages.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other similar categories.
\xc2\xb7 Ten years related experience in negotiation, cost reduction activities & materials planning.\xc2\xb7 Desired ten years related experience in the Capital Equipment for semiconductor manufacturing and testing or 3D Printing/additive manufacturing space.
\xc2\xb7 Domestic & international travel is requiredThis role will be the leader for our Technical Sourcing Management organization supporting Jabil\'s Capital Equipment segment that covers test and manufacturing equipment as well as additive manufacturing/3D printing. The role will report directly to the Global Director of Technical Sourcing Management and will lead a team of approximately 40 individuals that have technical backgrounds to support the complexities of sourcing/negotiating/transferring industry specific components. The team\'s focus revolves around cost optimization and risk reduction.
