Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Material Planning & Forecasting

Plan and forecast material needs based on production schedules and sales projections. Review consumption trends to ensure material requirements are accurate. Generate and manage MRP outputs to support procurement and production.
2. Inventory Control

Maintain the right balance of inventory to avoid shortages or excessive stock. Monitor slow-moving or obsolete items and recommend actions. Oversee cycle counts and support stock take activities.
3. Supplier & Procurement Coordination

Work closely with the procurement team on purchase orders and delivery timelines. Track supplier performance in terms of lead time, quality, and reliability. Highlight potential supply risks and collaborate to resolve delays or shortages.
4. Production Support

Ensure materials arrive on time for daily and weekly production plans. Coordinate with production teams on schedule changes or urgent requirements. Troubleshoot material issues that may impact output.
5. Data Analysis & Reporting

Prepare regular reports on inventory status, shortages, and planning performance. Monitor KPIs such as inventory accuracy and OTIF. Analyze material variances and propose improvements.
6. Process Improvement & Leadership

Lead initiatives to improve planning accuracy and reduce material waste. Guide and support junior planners in their daily tasks. Assist in ERP/WMS or planning system enhancements.
Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field. 3-7 years of experience in material or production planning. Strong experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.). Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Understanding of manufacturing processes and production flows. Proficiency in MS Excel and planning tools.
Additional Advantages

Experience in high-volume manufacturing. Knowledge of lean or continuous improvement practices. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Supervisory or leadership experience is a plus.
