In SE Asia, we are a leading power sector consulting engineering company executing our regional consultancy and engineering assignments mainly from our Bangkok, Manila, Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur offices. In total, we have multinational staff of more than 400 working in the power generation field in Asia. In line with our increasing business, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Mechanical Engineer/Technical Consultant to join our team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Prepare conceptual designs and feasibility studies for thermal and renewable energy power plants, including biomass, waste to energy, biogas and gas-fired power plants Developing the technical scope, design criteria, performing engineering calculations; Preparing equipment arrangements and plant lay-outs; Working closely with engineers of other disciplines and providing interface design input. Prepare mechanical engineering specifications for inclusion in EPC tender documents or for supply separate packages, tender evaluation and selecting equipment Participation as mechanical engineer for lenders engineer and independent engineer projects and technical due diligence assessment for acquisition of power plant Responsible for the mechanical design review of the EPC contractors design documentation submitted post contract award to check compliance with the contract specification. Providing advice and input to our site supervision team relating to design, erection, commissioning and testing. Active participation in the technical discussions with the client and suppliers; Conduct meetings and prepare minutes of meeting. Qualifications Minimum of Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Process Mechanical Engineering. Minimum total of 10 years\' experience with a major international consultant, engineering company or major utility company working in power sector Comprehensive knowledge of both HRSG and conventional fired boilers; boiler ancillary equipment; materials handling (biomass/waste, ash, limestone); combustion and emissions control equipment, plant test codes. Experience from developing engineering quality assurance procedures such as design input reviews, design reviews, interdisciplinary checking, design change management; Strong analytical capability, leadership skills and self-motivated. Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Have good inter-personal skills and a proven ability to work alongside colleagues of other disciplines. Fluency in written and spoken English.
