About the job Senior Mill Engineer (Steam Cert Grade 1)
Aim of the job:
To assist Mill Manager to ensure compliance with all Company operating policies, procedures and standing instructions
Main responsibilities and activities:
1. To Ensure all mill machines are all maintained for optimum operation of the processes
2. Supervise technicians too perform scheduled maintenance, repairs and installation of parts and machines
3. Prepare everyday report and ensure engineers log book is filled for proper shift handover
4. Comply with all the quality standard practised in the mill
5. Implement preventive maintenance program for all plant and machineries
6. Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed
7. Ensure prompt action is taken when processing losses exceed the standard and provide adequate explanation for any deviation from the limits.
Requirements:
1. Minimum degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
2. Minimum 2 to 3 years experience
3. Professional experience: possess Steam Engineers certificate of competency
4. Possess adequate leadership abilities to lead subordinates
5. Able to arrange manpower and assign tasks to subordinates
6. Able to prepare reports and paperwork related to boiler and steam turbine operation
7. High integrity, reliable and responsible with good time management
8. Strong leadership skills with dynamic qualities and result oriented
