Senior Operations Manager - HVAC & Building Maintenance

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Operations Manager to take full ownership of our HVAC and building maintenance projects. This role will act as the right-hand to the company's top management, making decisions, leading teams, and ensuring all projects are executed efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards. The successful candidate will oversee multi-branch operations, manage client relationships, and ensure smooth coordination between all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Project & Operations Leadership

Take full operational responsibility for HVAC and building maintenance projects from inception to completion. Represent the company in all project-related matters with clients, contractors, consultants, and authorities. Lead multi-branch projects, ensuring seamless coordination and consistent quality across locations. Make timely decisions on behalf of top management to ensure smooth project execution.

2. Technical & Advisory Expertise

Provide expert technical advice and solutions for HVAC and building maintenance work. Review project designs, specifications, and quotations for accuracy and competitiveness. Guide and advise branches in preparing cost estimates and project proposals.

3. Team Management & Development

Lead, mentor, and motivate operations teams to achieve project goals and KPIs. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within technical and operational teams. Coordinate with drafters, engineers, and site supervisors to ensure work is completed to standard.

4. Financial & Resource Management

Oversee project budgets, quotations, and procurement to ensure cost-effectiveness. Approve materials, resources, and subcontractor appointments as needed. Monitor project profitability and identify areas for efficiency improvement.

5. Compliance & Quality Assurance

Ensure all projects comply with local regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Conduct regular inspections to verify quality, safety, and progress. Manage project documentation, progress reports, and final handover procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. Minimum 8-10 years' experience in HVAC and building maintenance, with at least 5-7 years in a senior leadership role. Proven track record of managing multiple projects and teams across locations. Strong knowledge of building codes, HVAC systems, and maintenance practices. Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or BIM software is an advantage. Excellent leadership, decision-making, and communication skills. Able to travel and be on-site when necessary.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
