The position
The successful candidate will be in charge of leading indirect sourcing activities and handling national events in partnership with societies, internal stakeholders, etc to ensure seamless execution of events. The role acts as a subject matter expert and lead in sourcing activities including but not limited to managing suppliers for goods and services, evaluating supplier quality, negotiating contracts, and establishing supplier relationship management for Malaysia affiliate. Additionally, this position will be managing the end-to-end Purchase to Pay process, including sourcing, contract negotiation and preparation, creating purchase orders, issuing payments, and tracking delivery. The role will directly report to the Finance & Operations Director.
Other role tasks are as follows but are not limited to:

  • Aid the line of business where needed in order to maximize the value of budgets through sourcing, prioritization, monitoring and reporting of benefits (i.e., savings, contract coverage), work with internal departments to determine procurement needs and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and proactively and aligning with BASEA (Business Area South East Asia) and Global Procurement strategy.
  • Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures, ensure all contracts are properly prepared and acknowledged by parties involved, and vendor creation in the system, follow up on invoices, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers for goods and services, evaluate supplier quality and negotiate contracts to ensure the best price and terms, as well as manage supplier relationships and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Ensure that all procurement activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, centralize all internal and external events by managing end-to-end sourcing, organize and manage internal company events, and manage national programs in partnership with societies and internal company stakeholders.
  • Work with commercial business units and sales force and ensure seamless execution of events, drive \xe2\x80\x9cResponsible Sourcing\xe2\x80\x9d initiatives in line with global requirements, and be in charge of \xe2\x80\x9csourcing saving target\xe2\x80\x9d for related procurement and sourcing activities



Qualifications
  • Minimum Business Degree in finance, economics, admin, marketing or equivalent.
  • The candidate must have 6 strong years of experience in procurement & negotiation.
  • Must have at least 3 \xe2\x80\x93 4 years of experience in managing meetings and events.
  • Experience from multinational companies is a plus.
  • Good computer literacy in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, MS Teams and PowerPoint). Knowledge in ERP-SAP, Coupa and CVnet are preferred.
