Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Establish and implement cost control, tendering, and contract management systems for the company. Prepare cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and tender documentation for new projects. Conduct feasibility studies, budgeting, and cost planning to support project decision-making. Evaluate tender submissions, quotations, and subcontractor claims, ensuring competitiveness and accuracy. Manage post-contract administration, including progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts. Monitor project cost performance and provide monthly cost reports and financial projections. Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors on all contractual and commercial matters. Identify potential risks and advise management on cost-saving measures and contract strategies. Support management in contract negotiations and procurement decisions. Continuously review and improve internal QS processes, templates, and reporting systems. Potentially supervise and mentor junior QS staff as the team expands in the future.
Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum 7 to 10 years of relevant working experience in quantity surveying, with strong exposure to both pre- and post-contract stages. Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Sound knowledge of construction contracts (PAM, JKR, FIDIC, or equivalent). Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QS-related software such as CostX or similar. Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and cost awareness. Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work with minimal supervision. Possess own transport and willing to travel to project sites when required.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
