KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Assist to plan, develop and monitor the environmental performance and legal compliance to ensure Company\'s legal compliance with EQA 1974 and SEB\'s Environmental Policy.
2. Closely monitor and manage the collection, storage and disposal of Scheduled Waste including notification, segregation, labeling, documentation, in accordance to EQ(SW) regulations 2005.
3. Coordinate and arrange necessary preparation to ensure any auditing/ inspection activities such as internal, external, Environmental Compliance Audit, DOE etc. is done smoothly.
4. Conduct site inspection (including equipment & facilities such as CEMS etc) and implement corrective action required and liaise with contractors, workers and public on environmental related matters.
5. Assist on continual improvement of EMS ISO 14001 and implementation of Guided Self-Regulation (GSR) and to submit Environmental Mainstreaming Tools report to DOE.
6. Promote environmental awareness and arrange in house training on environmental (Env Awareness, Scheduled Waste Management & Chemical Spill Control, Procedure & Drills) for staffs.
7. Assist on investigation related to environment incident & to propose adequate mitigating measures.

SPECIAL ASPECTS/MAJOR CHALLENGES OF THE JOB:

• The challenges are to eliminate any source of risk and hazard that may cause an accident to human, property as well as environment.
• Legal compliances.
• To perform all tasks in line with the Information Security Quality Manual (ISQM) and the ISMS roles and responsibilities procedure.
• To perform all tasks in line with the Information Governance Policy Suite and Guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS & WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Diploma or Certificate in Science, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical from Universities or Institutions of Higher Learning recognized by the Company.
• Minimum 5 years in HSE or environmental related work.
• Knowledgeable in implementation of Environmental Management System (EMS).
• Knowledgeable and able to conduct environmental monitoring activities.
• ICT literate (Word, Excel & Power Point).

COMPETENCIES & LEADERSHIP:

• Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management (CePSWaM), Internal Auditor EMS ISO 14001 & Train the Trainer (TTT).
• Able to lead environment team on environmental compliance audit.
• Responsible toward the task assigned, positive attitude toward new changes & approaches, self-confident and able to work independently.
• Effective relationship with colleagues and contractors.
• Personal impact, appearance and a polite behavior and honesty.
• Knowledgeable in some relevant legislation and willing to improve knowledge and skills.

SKILLS:

• Basic IT Knowledge and able to use software program such as word, excel and PowerPoint.
• Supervising and monitoring of PPE application and safe working procedure to staff and contractor.
• Good discipline and able to work independently.
• Personality and appearance: good manner, clarity in speech and tactful.
