PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITY

• Analyze and streamline the existing processes with implementing automation solutions.
• Collaboration with the implementation and realization of defined IT strategies, standards and specifications for the area of IT infrastructure management regarding the company strategy under consideration of the latest technologies and risks for the company.
• Creation of group-wide standards and performance parameters in collaboration with interfaced teams and Corporate IT for the service levels and as a basis of the contracting and steering of external providers. Collaborating with the selection and steering of external providers regarding the technological requirements, the service quality, and ensuring the controlling for compliance with the performance parameters.
• Create technical concepts for Windows Server administration such as server security hardening, server admin roles, Windows Update Deployment, etc.
• Work cross-functional competence teams and create concepts for future server landscape including production servers and cloud-based servers.
• Involve in solution architecture discussions as intermediate product solution provider.
• Development and optimization of operational processes and feedback to concepts.
• Support in building up analysis report solutions such as proactive system health monitor and measure in provider management.
• Participate Problem management activities.
• Project Management / Support for customer or global IT projects.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE BASE

• Knowledge and experience software development and database administration.
• Knowledge in automation and its solutions. (SQL / SCCM / Scripting / Microsoft Power Platform)
• Knowledge in Windows Server Administration.
• Knowledge in Active Directory
• Knowledge in scripting languages such as VBScript and Powershell.
• Knowledge in IT security in terms of the server computing

EXAMPLE TASKS:

• SCCM for Windows patches - Create Packages; Distribute Patches; Maintain Images; Maintain Task Sequences
• Patch Management (Servers) - Testing monthly patches; Automated Change generation; Approve patches in WSUS; Maintain WSUS infrastructure; Inform about current patches; Remediation Meetings; Patch Exceptions; Patch Group organization; Maintain SOP in QM System
• Security Management (Servers) - Patch Exceptions communication to SIO; Global security incidents like Spectre/Meltdown; Global Firewall Policies; Vulnerability Management Tool; Development of automated Qualys Groups process
• Active Directory - Structure in OU Server Operations; GPOs
• 3rd Level Support - Windows Patch / Anti-virus update Management; GPOs; General Windows OS topics
• Anti-Virus Management (i.e ePO) - Create and maintain ePO Configurations (e.g Policy, Task assignment); Build and maintain Dashboard and report in ePO; Testing regular patches; Automated patch deployment; Scan Exceptions management
• Server Reporting - Build and maintain Server Reporting; Automated data integrated from various infrastructure systems
• Ad-hoc Automation - Create ad-hoc automations based on requirement

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Good command of English is a must
• Experience of supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes.
• Uses comprehensive knowledge and skills to work independently while providing guidance and training to others on developing appropriate plans or performing necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements.
• Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on analyzing data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making.
• Independently supports business processes with comprehensive understanding and effective use of standard office equipment and standard software packages, while also providing guidance and training to others.
• Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on acquiring, organizing, protecting and processing data to fulfill business objectives.
• Uses comprehensive knowledge and skills to work independently while providing guidance and training to others on developing, monitoring, interpreting and understanding policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectives.
