Join the Grab Technical Operations team, a multifunctional organization working to streamline processes, drive re-engineering, training, and automation within the Grab Engineering Community. As a Service Assurance Automation Specialist, you\'ll be collaborating with the team and backend engineering units to bolster the quality and efficiency of our processes and tools.Get to know the role
The Service Assurance Automation Specialist role requires a combination of incident management and automation knowledge / experience. The role involves contributing to the entire development lifecycle, from design to deployment, with a focus on high-quality code and performance. Plus, there\'s an opportunity to contribute to back-end development our key success metrics through data-driven reports and gaining an immersive understanding of cloud-hosted methodologies. Join us for an exciting journey in digital innovation.The day-to-day activities:

• Support the Service Assurance Lead in developing and enforcing operational processes and procedures but mostly focusing on automation work
• Automating processes - involved creating scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency
• Regularly reviewing and improving processes - think critically about ongoing processes and make recommendations for eliminating manual work and improving processes.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend services using Golang within a microservices architecture
• Design, develop, and maintain the front end of Grab internal portals and reusable UI components built
• Collect and analyze user feedback, identifying areas for improvement and prioritizing feature development accordingly.
• Implement best practices, ensuring high-quality code and adhering to performance, security, and accessibility standards.
• Optimize and enhance existing backend and frontend systems for improved performance and scalability
• Maintain thorough documentation of portal design, features, and functionality, effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues, implement fixes, and ensure portal stability and performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a software engineer, writing production code.
• Understanding of DevOps methodologies and applications
• Hands-on experience with frontend frameworks, particularly ReactJS, Micro Frontends, and Webpack.
• Proficient in at least one backend language, such as Go, Scala, Java, C++, or others.
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB).
• Strong knowledge of software development best practices, including version control using Git, unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective verbal and written English communication.
• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Passion for web development and a desire to learn new technologies.
• Hands-on experience working with AWS infrastructure
