Responsible to handle the following (listed) portfolios and ensure all the related claims are fairly & promptly settled in accordance with the Company\'s guidelines / Claims Manual, BNM & PIAM guidelines.
Engineering, Marine Hull, Marine Cargo, Fire, Miscellaneous claims & Marine direct recoveries, Personal Accident and Medical claims.
Key Responsibilities:
To verify, assess and approve promptly all claims within authority and for claims exceeding authority to process, recommend and submit them promptly to Superiors for consideration in order to meet Customer Service.
To provide guidance and direction to subordinates/ Branches/ Customers and in relation to technical claims matters in enhancing customers service standard.
To ensure prompt response and processing of claims including appointment of adjusters/ surveyors and lawyers in maintaining good customers\' service.
Proactively liaise with our appointed solicitors and or third party solicitors to amicably settle claims under his portfolio.
Ensure the case where adjusters appointed are monitored closely and monthly bordereaux on the status is submitted to us. If necessary to arrange meeting to discuss on complex cases with our adjusters after referring with the Head, Non-Motor Claims.
Proactively attend to all recovery cases, monitor, update and report to the Head, Non-Motor Claims on monthly basis.
Regularly review the performance of the Adjusters and report same to the Head, Non-Motor Claims.
To refer immediately any complaints received from Customers, BNM, OFS, PIAM and Company\'s distribution channels to Superiors, so that these are promptly and effectively resolved.
To monitor and review files on yearly basis.
To ensure all claims suspected having fraud elements or in violation of policy conditions are brought to attention of Head, Non-Motor Claims and in his/ her absence to Head, Underwriting & Claims / CEO.
Ensure all necessary advices to Treaty Reinsurers/ XOL are submitted as required and laid down under the Reinsurance Agreement.
Authorise and sign claim settlement cheques within authority limit.
Any other duties as may be assigned by the Company from time to time.RequirementsRequirements: Bachelor Degree - Degree.- Professional Qualification in Insurance e.g ACII / AMIIAt least 7 years claims experiences in all classes of insurance
Strong planning and leadership skills.
Sound Claims Knowledge/Analytical skills
Possess good communication skills in both written and spoken English
