An exciting SMT Process Engineer job in a multinational world leading manufacturing and production company to be based in Penang has just become available. This role is part of the pioneer team focusing on industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification. About the SMT Process Engineer Role:
As part of the geographical expansion and to support the growth in the Asian market, this role will be responsible for developing, configuring and optimizing processes. You will also be designing, running, testing and upgrading systems and proceses. Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability
• Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment for production
• Oversee new process equipment production
• Establish robust, repeatable and reproducible process parameters
• Trouble shoot process related issues
• Participate to activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements
• Evaluate and select various engineered materials
• Implement statistical process analysis on new and existing products
• Implement safety, productivity and yield improvements
• Improve manufacturing techniques and through put
• Provide continuous development of manufacturing techniques that will improve in[1]house capabilities
• Develop and maintain process documentation
• Review processing methods
• Interface with production of all activities associated with new process
• implementation and transfer
• Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel
• during new technology transfer
• Responsible for all SMT, Auto insert, Manual Insert, Washline and Xray

To succeed in this SMT Process Engineer role, you must have at least two years\' experiences as a Process Engineer, knowledgeable in SMT processes and process simulations. Key Requirements:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99d Degree in Electronics in (Electrical/Electronics) Engineering (Mechanical) Engineering, (Industrial) Engineering, (Mechatronic/Electromechanical) Engineering, Engineering (Others) or equivalent.
• Proven work experience in process engineering
• Excellent technical skills for assembly, conformal coating, potting and electronics industries backend process
• Strong analytical skill, systematic problem-solving approach skill & statistical knowledge.
• Project management, New Product Introduction and process sustaining
• Excellent technical skills
• Knowledge of process related standards
• Experience in process simulations
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing
• Working knowledge of process engineering software packages
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations
• Analytical thinker with interpersonal skill
