SNOC L2 Support Engineer will provide second level communications, monitoring, support, diagnosis, resolution and coordination with internal and external groups, utilizing multiple various network and security monitoring tools to ensure the viability of the service provider network, while responding to a variety of manage internet service issues.
What are you accountable for?
Perform device configurations, include internal operating system & software, servers, network devices.
Troubleshoot cases and tickets escalated from 1st level and escalate to I3/Manager if not able to resolve the case.
To have ownership based on domain of expertise as per on department needs such as, VM, SD-WAN, Firewall, PREMIUM SUPPORT, INFRA and BACKBONE.
To assist other team on their domain if needed.
To assist management to improve I1 knowledge/skill and provide feedback time to time on i1 performance.
Contribution on department roadmap
Provide guidance to junior for technical or operation issue.
Onsite support if issue not resolved by I1 for customer discussion if needed.
Contribution on ISO/SOP implementation and improvement to achieve high quality services.
Prepare incident report with assist by I1.
To participate R&D for improvement with I3 engineer.
Meeting with customer for network review and participate on presales/post sale project when require.
What do you need to have for this role?
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/ Technology, Communications Management, Network Operations/ Management, Network Security.
NOC Level 2 post support flow and troubleshooting.
Good understanding on product Cisco, Mikrotik, Fortinet, Checkpoint and Peplink.
In-dept working knowledge of security assessment tools and log analysis and SIEM tools.
Understand the various types of cyber-attacks and remediation.
Incident response and cybersecurity kill-chain
Various security products such as EDR, Endpoint, SIEM.
Communication \xe2\x80\x93 Strong in internal & external communication and coordination to ensure smooth service delivery.
Problem solving & Decision Making \xe2\x80\x93 Provide solution which require some interpretation when dealing with expectations. Consider consequences of decisions. Develops solution that address the root cause and prevent recurrence.
Planning & Organizing \xe2\x80\x93 Prioritize & accommodate multiple demands & unexpected events, flexible in adjusting individual plans as needed. Able to work under limited supervision to complete non routine tasks/ projects.
