Primary Objective:

• To support Head, Group Litigation & Regional Business in achieving key responsibilities of the Dept. in liaising with both solicitors and relevant business/functional units within RHB Banking Group in an effective manner and to render legal advice in a timely manner.

• To support/assist Head, Group Litigation & Regional Business and/or Head, Group Legal in non-recovery related litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities:

BRANCH/BUSINESS UNIT ADVISORY

• Handling legal queries from business/functional units including Group Retail Distribution within prescribed timelines.

• Review / drafting \xe2\x80\x93 both commercial & non-commercial agreements / letters / demands within prescribed timelines.

• Other matters as may be assigned by Head, Group Litigation & Regional Business and/or Head, Group Legal.

GROUP LITIGATION

• Attending to non-recovery litigation suits filed by and against RHB Banking Group.

• Review of Material Litigation of the RHB Banking Group.

• Other matters as may be assigned by Head, Group Legal.

• Assist Head, Group Litigation & Regional Business to oversee and provide advisory for litigation cases of regional entities.

REGIONAL BUSINESS (formerly known as GIB)

• Primary Legal Counsel to assist Head, Group Litigation & Regional Business in handling (advise/review/draft) Regional Business\xe2\x80\x99 loans transactions documentations.
• Primary Legal Counsel to review PRC\xe2\x80\x99s related documents for regional team\xe2\x80\x99s products and services.
• Alternate attendee to Head Group Litigation & Regional Business in GIB Council meetings.

OTHER ROLES

• Assist Head, Group Litigation & Regional Business to supervise junior counsels on advisory/review/other matters assigned by Head, Group Litigation & Regional Business and/or Head, Group Legal.

Requirements

Requirements:
Bachelor Degree - .

Min 4 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in handling litigation matters preferably with experience as litigation lawyer.

• Good analytical, planning and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of litigation process.

High performance team player with good interpersonal skills.
