Position Overview: Orangeleaf Consulting is seeking a dynamic and experienced Software Development Manager to lead our software development and consultancy team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our software development practice, ensuring project success, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and manage software development teams, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery. Developing applications using the Mendix Low-code development platform Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, to define project requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions. Develop and implement software development methodologies, best practices, and quality standards to improve efficiency and product quality. Drive the recruitment and development of top-tier software development talent. Oversee project management, including project scoping, resource allocation, and risk assessment. Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet or exceed their expectations. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and thought leadership. Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation within the software development teams. Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 7 years of software development experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role. Strong technical expertise in software development, with proficiency in multiple programming languages and technologies. (low-code expertise preferred) Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams. Demonstrated ability to drive project success and deliver software solutions on time and within budget. Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Agile and other software development methodologies. Up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
